We’re three families — Piper & Chris, Rachel & Will, and Ali & Jake — connected by our love for the mountains, our local community, and the wild Sierra Nevadas that we call home.

Piper & Chris launched The Jesse and Estella before creating Best Bet Motor Lodge, Reno Sauna Club, Dumpling Queen, and reviving Abby’s Highway 40 — all celebrations of a beautiful, vintage Americana.
Rachel brought Wyld Market to life, creating space for local makers to shine, while Will and Jake (once high school science teachers) now channel their curiosity into Black Rabbit, a bar and meadery that celebrates Sierra Nevada honey and locally-sourced drinks.

Ali made waves with Strange Bikinis, a fearless brand encouraging women to embrace confidence, creativity, and a love for the outdoors.

Together, we’re friends, families, and makers committed to keeping Reno and Tahoe vibrant, sustainable, and a little wild — always fueled by plenty of sparkling water.
OUR COMMITMENT TO HOME
We're passionate and proud of our local communities and ecosystems. Though we love local food, local brews, local music and local art we were still buying water transported across the planet. We realized that water should be LOCAL. We founded High Desert Water Company to bring that vision to life...and bring refreshing, pristine, naturally-mineralized water to our fellow High Desert dwellers that call this part of the world home.
PURE AND NATURAL
The Tahoe & Truckee Watersheds are celebrated for their alpine ruggedness and world-renowned beauty. Pure Water Systems worked with a graduate of the University of Nevada Reno and High Desert Water Company to design a special filtration system that returns this celebrated water to its pristine state. Instead of stripping the water to just H2O and adding foreign minerals back into it, we preserve the water's natural and seasonal minerality.
